Our story
The story of Beverly Flower begins with a family. A couple returns to the mountains of their youth, with children in tow. They buy a house with a barn and some land. Though they have always farmed and gardened, they now had the resources to scale up. With determination, and the kind of reckless abandon known only to small business entrepreneurs, the couple began a full-time engagement in a flower farm.
The Beverly Flower company understands that the flower’s bloom is the best indicator of an ecosystem. The secret to full blooms and sturdy stems begins with long, bright days in the cool mountains. It begins with clear water from mountain springs. And it begins with natural, sustainable soil enrichment: in our case, we use aged horse manure, red clay, top soil, and the occasional addition of fish and seaweed concentrate. Flowers need nitrogen and phosphates, and many farmers get these through chemical mixtures; at the Beverly Flower company we reclaim these essential ingredients from the land and animals that grow alongside our flowers.
